Hm, in Saturday Night Live’s (SNL) soap opera, “The Sands of Modesto,” there’s a landline phone sitting over there on the coffee table, in between the Lysol and the tissue.
Normally, there wouldn’t be Lysol and tissue on the same table as the landline phone. It’ll just be the landline phone and a table lamp and a spiritual book. But due to the circumstances caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the Lysol and tissue have taken the places of the table lamp and the spiritual book.
What’s that?! Does the phone work?! Why yes! It does! As a matter of fact, the landline phone continued to work after Debra Lee (played by Kate McKinnon) sprayed Lysol on it.
That’s right, folks! The landline phone is better than those handheld phones that’ll stop working if you breathe on them, let alone spray a substance like Lysol on them.
A landline phone is strong. It won’t break if you drop it. It won’t stop working if you pour water on it. You’ll always get a dial tone as long as you keep paying your telephone provider and the electrical company that keeps your lights on.
Everybody should have a landline phone in their homes.
